Not every workshop operation involves the latest-generation vehicles. Diesel engines equipped with unit injector systems and early-generation Common Rail technology are still widely present in workshops today.

For this reason, we continue to update the systems that played an important role in the evolution of diesel technology, further expanding the support available within the RACE product line.

This new update introduces updated settings files and Protune service support for three Bosch EDC16xxx ECUs fitted to vehicles that are still commonly found on the road:

• BOSCH EDC16C36 – Opel Vivaro A 2.0L 16V CDTI 84kW/113HP
• BOSCH EDC16CP33 – Renault Espace 4 2.0L 16V dCI 96kW/129HP
• BOSCH EDC16U1 – Volkswagen Touran 1T 2.0L 8V TDI 103kW/138HP

The new settings files make it possible to identify and manage the main calibration areas within the ECU’s original software with greater accuracy.

Protune is also available: the service designed for tuning beginners, providing modified files that are ready to be written directly to the ECU.

An update developed to provide comprehensive support not only for the latest ECUs, but also for those diesel platforms that continue to represent an important part of everyday workshop activities.
