HVR Mode: New Unlocking Solution for Bosch MDG1 ECUs
A new feature is coming to TheGenius.
Starting next week, the new HVR Mode will be available, introducing a dedicated solution for unlocking a selection of Bosch MDG1 ECUs manufactured after 2021 and equipped with protected INFINEON AURIX TC298TP/TC299TP microcontrollers.
Unlock in BOOT; then close the ECU and go straight to BENCH.
The operation requires the new HVR (High Voltage Regulation) adapter cable, specifically designed for direct connection to the ECU board in BOOT (OPEN mode). The two-point connection procedure ensures maximum accuracy and perfect synchronization throughout the unlocking procedure. Temporary removal of one resistor is also required.
Once unlocked, the ECU can be read and programmed in BENCH MODE via TheGenius, on compatible diesel and gasoline applications.
